Wedicity is a wedding and event planning company which found its roots in Chicago in 2012. Tionna Van Gundy, the founder and lead wedding planner created Wedicity out of a passion for organization, details, customer service and events. We pride ourselves in being a LGBTQ-friendly / denomination-wide and culturally accepting company with a true understanding of service, events and a meticulous eye for the details.
To produce beautifully detailed events through a high-touch, service-focused approach while maintaining a respected, quality brand amongst our industry peers.
Tionna Van Gundy has worked within most segments of the event planning and hospitality industries. In 2004 she became a certified wedding planner and began her journey to owning and operating Chicago-based: Wedicity Wedding & Event Detailing. With over 15 years of experience she has the knowledge of an array of religious traditions and how to perfectly mix them for a unique ceremony. She is an expert at turning the right design elements into an event that truly represents a couple’s unique love story.
Hospitality and service is at the center of everything we do. It’s how we approach the planning process, it’s how we interact with our clients and vendor partners, its anticipating demands before they are even known. A service mentality is at the root of who we are as individuals and what we integrate into every part of our offerings, communications, and actions.
ALL of the details matter. Personalizing those details allow us to make an event YOURS! We focus on intimately knowing and understanding the smallest of details and keeping them organized in a way that our clients/vendors feel at ease. We best produce a wedding or special event with a “never done” mentality to continue serving our clients, their guests and our vendor partners beyond their expectations.
Positivity and a calm demeanor creates a beautiful balance and is confidently communicable. Approaching our work with a can-do / will-do attitude allows for a fun work environment and a team atmosphere both in-office and on-site at events.
With respect for all trades, all religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, genders and personal views, it allows us to learn and grow from one another. We are humbled & privileged to be selected to work with our clients and their guests. We respect our vendor partners and their talents in which we are honored to work with. The choices and decisions of our clients are respected and treated with care.
